Hats for Alex

I love my ribbon hats. So much I decided to share the love. 'Twinsies' and a simple baby cap in yellow will be going to a new home for an infant or toddler at a children's hospital. They're just too fun to keep to myself.

Hats for Alex is an ongoing knit charity project started by Trillian42, who began it out of the love for her good friend.

"On December 8, 2005, one of my oldest and dearest friends lost her 6-month old son to injuries suffered at the hands of his day-care provider. I started the Hats for Alex project to honor his memory, and to thank the wonderful people at Children’s Hospital in Omaha, NE who cared for Alex while he fought for his life.

I collect knit and crocheted hats in sizes from preemie to child, made in any washable yarn, and send them to the hospital to warm the heads of their patients. If you would like to contribute, please contact me at hatsforalex AT gmail."

This is my first charity knitting and I am getting really excited about giving it away! I should have started this sooner!
