April 25, 2007

For those of you who are looking for SAFF updates:

Whatever you do if you are looking for the SAFF webpage, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT forget the word ' site' follows the word saff in the web address. (www.saffSITE.org) Otherwise unpleasant things may spring up and surprise you. Trust me on this one.

Let me just save you the trouble of that mistake and say that the workshop schedule has not been published on the website yet. Even though the website claims, "2007 SAFF Schedules are not done yet. A tentative sched. should be up by the end of April 2007." I don't know about you but I consider the 25th pretty close to "the end of April." Liars.

But there is good news! My protege has agreed to go with me this year on both Saturday and Sunday. Last year I was a weenie and didn't go to meet up with Jen and all the other knit bloggers I read about, and really regretted it. Especially, when I mapquested the directions to learn that it's only an hour and a half from my home and where I live anywhere that's under two hours to get to is a short drive. If that tells you anything.

The best news, though, is that since the Hubby spends at least $100 a pop on tickets and lodging for his two beer festivals a year, I will have some serious cash to drop on yarn. He has been forewarned.

Jen you up rallying the troops again this year? If so, add two people to the list.

I'm looking at their site EVERY DAY. Today I was like, IT'S THE 26TH!!! POST THE CLASSES!!!

I wish they'd post it because my guild is hosting a natural dye class weekend after next, but I don't want to spend $50 on it if I can take the same class at SAFF.

I floated in from JenLa's comment section because I noticed you were another GA blogger. I wasn't able to attend last year's SAFF but I will definitely be going this year. Can't wait to meet you!
